MANILA, Philippines – This month, Kiehl’s Philippines celebrates the second year anniversary of

Made Better™ by partnering with celebrity twins, Richard and Mond Gutierrez! With a passionate focus towards the conservation of marine welfare, proceeds from the sale of Made Better™ limited-edition products will fund the conservation of Philippine oceans.

Made Better™ is a platform that allows Kiehl’s to connect its ongoing efforts in sustainability through the formulation, packaging, manufacturing, recycling, and philanthropic commitments towards its products and customers in an authentic and differentiated way.

“Kiehl’s is a legit company doing their part,” says Richard Gutierrez. “They use at least 30% post-consumer recycled materials. And they recycle and reuse packaging in their stores, which is something I think every store and every company should do.”

Kiehl’s Philippines, together with Raymond and Richard Gutierrez, are proud to introduce limited-edition variants of two customer favorites that both new and old customers are sure to love:

  • Calendula Toner

Calendula flower petals are fused with gentle ingredients such as Great Burdock Root Extract to soothe and cleanse oily and normal skins. A trusted customer favorite for over four decades! The 125mL bottles are housed in bottles made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.

  • Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream

A lightweight gel moisturizer that hydrates normal and oily skin with 24-hour protection! The Ultra Facial Oil-Free Gel Cream is perfect for the Philippines’ humid weather.

Limited-edition variants will feature exclusive art developed by Raymond and Richard Gutierrez, inspired by one of Richard’s many breathtaking underwater portraits.

“When they asked us to do this, there was no question: Kiehl’s is a brand we love,” shares Raymond Gutierrez. “And the fact that they have the Made Better™ campaign that targets to help sustainable living. So, it was just a no-brainer for us that we wanted to be involved.”

According to Cheryl Vitali, Kiehl’s General Manager Worldwide, “Our founding family member Aaron Morse once said that, ‘a worthwhile firm must have a purpose for its existence. Not only the everyday work-a-day purpose to earn just a profit, but beyond that, to improve in some way the quality of the community in which is committed.’ This mission has always been our north star at Kiehl’s Since 1851, we have been dedicated to using more sustainably sourced and naturally derived ingredients, responsible packaging and manufacturing, and lending a hand to community causes. We are constantly evolving and improving because we believe our patrons, communities, and planet deserve products that are Made Better. Better is where we began in 1851, but better has no end.”
